What Does This Mean for You and Your Dog?
So why am I telling you all of this about the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers? Because I want you to understand my commitment, education and passion for training dogs. I work with families and their pets because it’s what I love to do. Obtaining my certification through CCPDT was me saying, “I’m serious about this, and I want my clients to know I’ve learned from the best!” I love how the council requires me to always stay at my best by completing continuing education in order to maintain my certification. Learning doesn’t stop when you earn that piece of paper.
What Is the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers?
This non-profit organization is “the leading independent testing and certification resource for dog training and behavior professionals.” Ask around, and you’ll discover that they developed the worldwide standard in training programs, with rigorous exams, science-based dog training practices and a humane approach. Their mission is to develop certified dog trainers through hands-on experience, standardized testing, skills practice and continuing education. A great dog trainer should never stop learning!
CCPDT’s examination process provides assurance to owners looking for the best trainers and continues to support trainers throughout their training careers, as well as provide a strict code of ethics for trainers to adhere to. Three years ago, CCPDT was accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, meaning that their training program has met rigorous certification standards. See why I think it’s the best?
